Isosorbide Dinitrate Injection

Isosorbide dinitrate is an organic nitrate vasodilator. When administered intravenously, it rapidly dilates venous vascular beds and coronary arteries, reducing preload and afterload, which decreases myocardial oxygen demand and improves cardiac output.

Dosage by Body Weight

For intravenous infusion only. The dosage should be adjusted according to the individual patient response. The typical starting dose in adults is 2 mg/hour to 10 mg/hour, which can be titrated up to 20 mg/hour depending on clinical response and blood pressure.
